Sealcoating
What are the benefits?
The benefits of professional sealcoating are numerous....
Environmental elements like the sun, wind, and water can impose a damaging effect on asphalt surfaces.
As the asphalt hardens or oxidizes, it will become more brittle, making it susceptible to cracks as it is unable to bend and flex with changing weather and climate conditions. A professional sealcoating application creates a barrier between the asphalt and the elements, thus slowing down the oxidation process, and prolonging the life of the asphalt during freeze and thaw cycles.
When water from snow or rain seeps through the asphalt it creates pools of water underneath, which lead to cracking, especially when that moisture freeze and thaws repeatedly.
This seepage occurs because most driveways and parking lots are made from asphalt which is porous material. Driveway sealing closes off the pores so that water can't penetrate the paving material.
Asphalt XPS uses a high-grade Black Mac asphalt sealer composed of petroleum and bitumen. A mixture which is the same chemical composition found in asphalt.
Therefore, when applied by pressurized sprayer to your asphalt, it does not just merely paint the top surface but rather penetrates deep through the asphalts pores, nourishing the asphalt, restoring its natural composition rendering the asphalt more flexible and regaining its natural color and compliments its' aesthetics.
